Traditional Health worker

Our Traditional Health Worker (THW’s) are here to support not only the children who come through our doors but also the families who care for them. THW’s have historically provided person and community-centered by bridging communities and the health systems that serve them, increasing the appropriate use of care by connecting people with health systems, advocating for health plan members, and empowering individuals to be agents in approving their own health. Our THW’s are here to listen, answer questions, find resources, and walk alongside you through your journey.

Our Traditional Health Worker Team

Shannon Redden CHW and Admin Director

Shannon has extensive experience in coordinating outreach programs, such as mobile dental care programs that provide dental care directly to students at their schools.  Shannon spent several years as part of the TBI team that worked in conjunction with University of Oregon to develop effective and safe Return to School/Return to Sports protocols for students after experiencing concussions. Using the most current knowledge and science on concussions and head injuries, Shannon was part of a pilot program that developed the Return to Play protocols now used in many Oregon schools.
