OUR Approach

At Treehouse Therapies, licensed and specially trained PTs and OTs use evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning in the purposeful manipulation of equine movement as a therapy tool to engage sensory, neuromotor and cognitive systems to promote functional outcomes. This will be one of a variety of treatment tools or strategies used by therapists to help reach your child’s specific goals.

During the approximately 30 minutes that your child may receive equine movement as a treatment tool, they will receive over 3000 repetitions of graded, rhythmic movement that helps facilitate postural control and integration of all of the systems of the body. Your child will be given the opportunity to experience more normal movement patterns which can improve posture, balance, sensory integration, endurance and ultimately, gait.
