Empowering Young Minds

Meet Mary Goetz, MSW, LCSW

Mary is a relational mental health therapist who believes that a deeper understanding of ourselves helps us to connect more wholly to the world around us. Mary’s background is in trauma work, systems work (structural and family), TF-CBT, grief work, creative processing integration, and crisis prevention interventions. Mary utilizes multiple modalities such as narrative therapy, relational therapy, Internal Family Systems, and attachment work. She specializes in Developmental Repair, which focuses on joining individuals in their feelings underneath behaviors and enhances clients’ understanding of their internal and external processes through narration. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from CUNY Hunter College, Silberman School of Social Work in New York and is currently licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Oregon and Minnesota. Mary has worked with youth, families, and adults in a variety of settings, both outpatient and higher levels of care, for the last 10 years. Additionally, Mary received her Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Psychology from Dominican University of California. She works to incorporate creative approaches through movement and art in treatment processes. Mary is currently becoming certified as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist; she aims to encourage psychosomatic awareness and healing, and looks forward to incorporating this knowledge into future treatment processes once fully certified. Mary is passionate about her work and values meeting her clients wherever they are in their healing process with compassion and understanding. When not working, Mary spends her time enjoying nature and a good book.
